Appreciate what you have

I always tell my kids to appreciate what you have in life.  I always say that your health and your family is what is most important.  I try to teach them a lesson every day.  Manners are important; treat others with kindness; materialistic things don't matter;  don't ever go to bed upset; always do your best; be a leader, not a follower; share and always talk to people with respect.  I tell them to enjoy each day and treat it as a gift and never complain.  I tell them to always hug and kiss their grandparents every time they see them.  Alwyas tell them you love them.  My dad always tells me you have to live life to the fullest.  Joe is the same way.  I remember once hearing that you marry someone just like your dad.  I believe that.  On Sunday, my dad had a stroke.  It feels weird to even say that because my dad is strong and goes to the gym and he is healthy.  He is alwyas happy and is happiest when he is here with the kids.  They think the world of him.  I thank God that he is still with us.  Last week was the scariest week I have ever had in my life.  I looked at a picture of my family and really thought about how precious life is.  Thank you God for not taking my dad away from us.  I appreciate everything I have.  I feel lucky and blessed.  We went to see my parents last night.  We brought them a pizza and talked for a while.  Something so simple can mean so much.  If you have a loving family and your health, life is just wonderful.

It's the tball time of year. Ryley and Joey are both playing. Owen watches and practices as he gears up for next year. Stay tuned next week for pictures of Ryley. Joey loves it. One of the cutest things he does when he concentrates is moves his tongue. I watched him come running towards home tongue moving and all.

Happy Easter!
Caught in the act! Yet, still admits he is not eating anything.

At 6 am, I heard the many footsteps come running into my room. The Easter Bunny came! Ryley was so excited that it was too cute for words to explain. Joey and Owen's eyes lit up when they saw the candy. TJ went straight for the basket. He was a man of few words at first. He just opened one of the eggs and began to chew. He looked up and said with a smile, "jellybean". After the Easter egg hunt, TJ snuck into the other room and proceeded to eat chocolate. His face was covered with it yet when I approached him, he with great confidence explained that he didn't eat anything. In fact, he stated that he lost all his Hershey kisses and then stated that they went under the couch. Hmmmm!

Most of our day was spent outside under a sunny blue sky. Dinner later on with family made it a wonderful and special day!
