What a great way to spend a Sunday

Last year in March I remember clearly how freezing it was. I remember how bundled up we still were. There was still lots of snow on the ground and there were no signs of spring coming. We have had quite a treat this year. Instead of dressing in gloves and hats, we were able to leave the jackets at home and spend a warm day outside with our cousins. We have had several days in a row with 60 degree weather. The kids and I are starting to talk about the warm days ahead of playing on the beach. This past Sunday, the Dargan cousins, including Savanah and Hobson took a hike up Ramapo. There were lots of smiles and laughter. There were some daring rock climbers among the Dargan kids. Everybody needs to learn how to skip rocks!

There is always time to stop for a picnic lunch.

I thought the hike may have tired a few out. Apparently it didn't. We spent the next few hours at a park bike riding. I love it! That is what being a kid is all about!

First lost tooth

February 29, 2012 marks the day that the first Dargan kid lost a tooth. Congratulations Joey! The funny thing is no one, including Joey, even knew it! We were in the car and I noticed a space between Joey's teeth. I asked Joey to smile and there it was, a cute little space in his bottom teeth. Joey has no idea when it happened and neither do I! Lord only knows where that tooth went!

Don't worry Ryely - your day will come! I promise!

Smiling faces

So amazing! I love being with them and watching them and will always love seeing these smiling faces. Please don't grow up too fast. I love you guys with all my heart. You all have such a wonderful spirit and are so loving and I am just so proud of all of you. You will read this someday and know how much I love my life and how happy I am being your mom.

Joe, if you are reading this at work with your crazy hours, I love you and thank you for everything you do for us. You are a wonderful husband and father. We really do make a great team!

Superbowl

I forgot to add in our Superbowl 2012 party pictures. We had 20 adults and 20 kids. It was a house full of happy faces, laughs and lots of fun and food! The Giants won which made the party that much better. Joe had his "cauc" boys there. I love seeing all of them together. They are a great group of guys who make each laugh the whole time they are together. They are real people.
All 20 kids had a blast! Thank God Joe finished the basement. The Dargan kids proudly wore their Giants t-shirts! TJ couldn't make it to half time. He begged me at 7:30 to go to bed.

Owen made it to the end but gave up the second the game ended. This is a sign of a fun night!

I can handle it

The last couple of weeks have been busy. We have been running around a lot, going for eye checkups, dentist appointments, registration for kindergarten (Joey), and in and out of schools volunteering. On Tuesday, Ryley gets off the bus and we head off to ice skating and then Joey plays hockey. 3 kids had to finish valentine cards, i am baking brownies for Ryleys valentine party, bringing in healthy snack for Owens class and a treat for Joey's class. I was Daisy helper this week, media volunteer last week and party coordinator next week. Piece of cake!

Relaxing

Some of our days our busy and filled with adventures. Sometimes, it's just nice to lie around together. We can talk, read a book and sometimes it's just nice to take a nap.

By the way, congratulations to Joey and Owen both scoring a goal at hockey. The excitement must have worn everyone out!

Won everyone's hearts

Hobson, we love you. As the kids always say, "You are the cutest, best dog in the whole world!"
