Memorial Day Weekend

Joe teaching kids to skip rocks.
Memorial Day weekend just passed.  Some people head to the beach or have parties or go away.  We decided to relax, hang out together, take it easy and of course go on a hike.  We took the kids to a place that I grew up going to.  Sometimes you just need family days.
The beginning of the 4 mile journey.
Smiles!
More smiles!  A picnic lunch and hike along the water.
Cool TJ.  He loves to wear a hat and sunglasses.
Owen always loves to be near Joey.
Such cuties.

Siblings

Brotherly Love

Big Sister
Love those smile and that happiness!

How sweet it is to be loved by you!

Congratulations TJ

Last time the Dargan kids could use the crib as a fort.
We finally took the side off TJ's crib.  I guess it was about time but I have to admit I am a little sad there are no more cribs in the house.  At least he is still in a toddler bed!  I am also proud to say that TJ is potty trained which also means no more diapers in the house.  It's been a long time.  Diapers and cribs started with the Dargans in 2004 and in 2012 has come to an end.  Some people say that I must be so happy.  I guess it's nice, but I would absolutely have a number 5 and do it again!

Those boys make you melt.

Mothers Day

To Ryley, Joey, Owen & TJ,

I could not be more proud of you guys.  I love you with all my heart and I appreciate every day that I have you guys in my life.  My heart is filled with love.  I ran from Mothers Day tea's to Mothers Day shows.  I cried over cute poems, and sweet words.  I feel special every day and so happy to be your mommy.  Happy Mothers Day to me.  It's the best job in the world.

Owen, I loved the songs that you sang to me.  I love that you said I am the best mommy in the world and you love playing with me.  I love your sweet smile and how gentle you are.

Ryley, I was so touched by the Mothers Day show.  I love your letters that you make me every day and the pictures you draw me with hearts.  I love when you hold my hand and hug me every night.  I love how sweet you are.
Joey, I love how you cuddle with me and hug me every chance you can.  I especially love that you tell me when you get married, you will only live next store to me!  I love your spirit and how affectionate you are.

TJ, you are so sweet.  I love that you say "Mommy, I love you"  about 20 times a day.  I will never get tired of that.  I love how you cuddle with  me every morning.  I love how lovable and sincere you are.
I could write 20 pages to each of you and at some point, I will.  This is just a simple statement to each of you to thank you for such a wonderful Mothers Day.

My little lacrosse player

Ryley told me she wanted to play lacrosse and she wanted to be good at it.  Here she is at her first lacrosse clinic.

Looks like she is having fun.  She often likes to wear sundresses and sandals and dance around the house.  She also likes to put on her spikes and play soccer and lacrosse and becomes competitive with her 3 brothers and whoever else gets in her way.  She is a Dargan.  Love this girl with all my heart.

Hoboken smiles

A day in Hoboken always brings smiles to us.
Sometimes all you need is a new park for happy faces.
Hobson is like our fifth.  He comes everywhere with us.
Cutest ever!

Precious moments

Owen will do anything to be with Grandpa.  You can see the happiness from the smile on his face.  A few weeks ago, we packed up our bikes, scooters and lunches and headed to GG and Grandpas trail.  Lately, it is one of their favorite spots. I remember how much fun they had that day, especially since after biking, Grandpa took them golfing.  Pure joy!
3 very happy Dargan boys and 2 very happy grandparents.
I though Joey, Owen and TJ wore my parents out, but it looks like it's the other way around.

It's days like this they will always remember.  It's days like this that I will always remember.  My dad spoke full sentences that day.  4 days later was his stroke.  He is doing well and I know his speech will come back and before you know it, he will be telling his grandsons how to swing the clubs again.  He will be rolling on the grass with them at Rockland Lake again.  Life is so precious and watching your kids with their grandparents is priceless.
