My kids inspired me to write this today. It's a snowy Tuesday morning , TJ went in for a nap and Ryley, Joey, Owen and myself went out to build a snowman. I watched them play together and realized I was watching a miracle. I am so blessed to have these 4 wonders in my life. When I was pregnant with Ryley, someone told me that the love you have for a child is unlike any other. I must say it is even more than that. You can't put in words the feelings, but I will try. It is a love that is so strong, a bond that will never be broken. With each baby born, my love just became stronger and stronger. I am so fortunate to be home with them. I am here to see them smile, be there to hug them when they need a hug, comfort them when they fall or are hurt and be the first to hear about what made them happy each day. I am so proud to be a mommy. They will fight and be crazy but they are mine and each of them possess' such special qualities that make them who they are. Ryley, Joey, Owen & TJ are gifts from God and have taught me so much about life and being a mother. They are loving, compassionate, sweet, and provide such happiness to my life. I am fortunate and lucky enough to the have the most amazing husband and best friend. Together we have made this wonderful family and the journey has just begun!
I just need to say something about each one and the stage they are in. I wish I started this when each was born, but no time is better than the present. This is Ryleys last year of preschool and with kindergarten approaching, it really showed me how fast time goes. Enjoy every second. I know that I have and still am, and always will. I am having so much fun with each of them right now. I am enjoying every second. I can't lie. Some days can be hard. They at times wake up in awful moods, wine, throw temper tantrums and at times talk back. Those are only some days, and we get through them. All the others make up for those. I can always get a hug or kiss. If I ever am having a tough day, I just look at them and realize how amazing and precious life is. Each day they wake up with such excitement and zest and can't wait to start their day. It truly is amazing. No one can really prepare you for what it will be like to be a parent. I take each day one by one. I am not perfect. I know I may make mistakes but I learn from them. My kids teach me new things every day. I will offer the best advice I know, take care of them , always be there for them and always do the best job I can. I will always be proud of them. They know I am there for them and they can count on me. I am meant to be a mommy! I love every second and love my kids with all of my heart and each day will bring new excitement in my life.
Ryley - September 18, 2004
My first baby and my little girl. She is a princess. She is everything that I have always wanted in a daughter. I am so proud of her. Ryley is compassionate, as sweet as can be, independant, sassy, ,beautiful inside and out. She truly cares about her brothers. She is a wonderful big sister. She has a captivating smile and the most beautiful brown eyes you will ever see.
Joey - June 22, 2006
Such a boy! Joey is super affectionate, passionate, loving, sweet, caring, loves his brothers and looks up to his big sister with such amazement. He gives amazing hugs and has an incredible heart and the biggest most handsome dimples in the world! He looks just like his daddy and he will never turn down a sword fight!
Owen - August 6, 2007
Joey was only 4 months old when I found out I was pregnant with Owen. They are only 13 months apart. They may fight like crazy but are always together and love it. Owen is also passionate. He is sweet and loves to be held. He loves to be part of what his sister and brothers do. Owen is a sweetheart. He is strong. He too is compassionate. He also loves to joke around. He has a unique and very funny sense of humor. He has this perfect face that you just want to kiss all the time.
TJ - January 12, 2009
Oh TJ is the sweetest. He is the happiest baby and smiles all the time. He really loves his mommy. His smile is magical and when he smiles you just have to kiss him. He too is passionate, sweet, loving and loves to be held and carried around. He always puts his head on my shoulder and just wants me to hold him. TJ just turned 1 and has started to pull himself up. He started eating pancakes and cheerios and turning into a big boy soon. I love his baby stage still and just want it to last. It's amazing.
