School is out!

I am so proud to say that Joey has finished preschool.  Now that he is 6, I guess I have to send him to kindergarten.  I kept him home as long as I could.  His teachers told me that he has a smile that makes them melt and an unbelievable charm.  We are so proud of you Joey.  You have learned so much and I see every day how smart you are and what an incredible boy you have become.

Ryley has just finished first grade.  I can't believe I have a daughter who will be going into second grade.  I listen to you read chapter books every night.  I have watched you go from learning numbers to completing math problems.  I have watched you go from crying every morning to making new friends and enjoying school.  All I hear from your teacher is how sweet you are and how great you do in school.  We are so proud of you Ryley.

Now, let the summer begin!  School is out.  I want my kids to myself.  I want so spend days at the beach watching you play.  I want to have fun days at the pool and have lots of family time.

Ryley, Joey, Owen & TJ - Love you guys so much!

Happy Birthday Joey

Joey,

Six years ago, I was in the hospital with you in my belly.  I could not wait to meet you and I couldn't wait to find out if you were a boy or a girl.  The doctor said, it's a boy, and I just cried.  You were so handsome, and it was love at first sight.  I have watched you grow over these last few years into this amazing little boy.  You have your daddy's charm.  Your smile makes everyone melt. Your warm personality and loving nature makes everyone love being around you.  I love when you get in bed with me in the morning and snuggle up to me just as you did the day you were born.  I love the way to take care of your sister and brothers.  You are a sweet soul and we are so proud of you.  I love you with all my heart.  We had such am amazing birthday with you.  I hope you remember your fun filled day at Wild West City.  Everyone had so much fun watching you and your brothers and sister and cousins have a great time! I think daddy had more fun than anyone though!   Happy Birthday Joey.  Love you so much!

Beach Day

This was just the first of many more beach days to come!  We plan on spending a lot of time here.  Ryley had to miss this trip because of something going on in school, but she will be at the next one.  We all can't wait for school to be over so we can go back to our adventures all together.  The boys had a blast.  The beach was therapeutic.  The sand felt wonderful on our feet and the warm sunshine and ocean air brought endless smiles.  Here's to summer just beginning!
Dargan boys admiring the ocean.

Congratulations Owen

Congratulations Owen Dargan!  You finished your second year of Hillsdale United.  We are all so proud of you.  Your teachers told me how much they are going to miss you.  They said, "we love Owen", "he was the sweetest boy to have in class, he had great manners and he always played nicely with everyone.  He especially enjoyed playing with the girls because the boys were too wild!"  He loved working on crafts and loved learning new things.  Joe would say, "well, he is a Dargan."
Owen was so proud of himself at his graduation.  He should be.  He had a great year and he learned so much.  I love his big hugs when he gets out of school.  I love all his stories.  I love how excited he always is to show me all his projects and work.  He sang with such confidence at his graduation.  We love you Owen.
I am so happy that O gets to spend another year at home before he is off to kindergarten.  Joe and I are never in a rush to get our kids off to school.  I will keep them home as long as I can!

Memorial Day Weekend

Joe teaching kids to skip rocks.
Memorial Day weekend just passed.  Some people head to the beach or have parties or go away.  We decided to relax, hang out together, take it easy and of course go on a hike.  We took the kids to a place that I grew up going to.  Sometimes you just need family days.
The beginning of the 4 mile journey.
Smiles!
More smiles!  A picnic lunch and hike along the water.
Cool TJ.  He loves to wear a hat and sunglasses.
Owen always loves to be near Joey.
Such cuties.

Love those smile and that happiness!

How sweet it is to be loved by you!

Congratulations TJ

Last time the Dargan kids could use the crib as a fort.
We finally took the side off TJ's crib.  I guess it was about time but I have to admit I am a little sad there are no more cribs in the house.  At least he is still in a toddler bed!  I am also proud to say that TJ is potty trained which also means no more diapers in the house.  It's been a long time.  Diapers and cribs started with the Dargans in 2004 and in 2012 has come to an end.  Some people say that I must be so happy.  I guess it's nice, but I would absolutely have a number 5 and do it again!

Those boys make you melt.
